Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

I Am

I am mother. I used to get upset when someone said about my job (in the microbiology lab), "This is a good job for a woman." I've never considered myself a staunch or militant feminist, but that seriously got under my skin. I married a man with a mother who was a stay-at-home mom. My own was not. Now I am.

I am writer. I've been writing for nearly fifteen years and have a few publishing credits under my belt, but am no where near successful. I am, however, fulfilled when I sell a post for $50 or $100. It validates my talent, though I know there are many unpublished and super talented writers out there.

I am pet sitter. What started as a small side hobby to make some cash and get some doggie love after our goldendoodle died suddenly, is now something I hope to make into a profitable business. So far my side job sent my three year old to preschool, and that is enough.

I am woman. I don't feel like a woman. I feel like this identity defines me the least. Part of it might be low self-esteem and depression. Part of it might be that all of my other jobs take so much out of me.

I am human. I love, I cry, I laugh. I wipe bums and tears. I feed babies and dogs and husbands and myself. I believe in God.

Most of all, I am me.
