My Dad The Hero - got divorced from my mother when I was 1. But it doesn't stop there...long story short I am now a man and I can't remember one time where my parents bad mouthed each other.

They remain friends to this day and have allowed me to develop my own thoughts and feelings about why or what may have gone wrong for them - which doesn't even matter now that I know how different these two people really are.

So he is my hero for never bad mouthing my mother. Even though I am much closer with my dad than my mother, this has allowed me to trust him more in regard to life in general.

Although I had to live in a split family with multiple step parents - it has made me me more aware of how easy a family can fracture - and I have no desire to raise my two little girls alone nor will I allow my wife to do that either. So we truck on - loving life - loving each other - and loving our daughters!
