Creamy walnut pesto with a kick of heat. Perfect for pasta, steak, or roasted vegetables. This pesto is simple and healthy.
Pesto Sauce
Prep Time: 15 minIngredients
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 jalapeno seeded
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon sea salt or to taste
- 1 teaspoon cracked black Pepper
- 1 lime juiced
- 1 cup Arugula
- 1 cup Spinach
- ¼ cup olive oil
Preparation
- In a food processor, combine the walnuts, jalapeno, garlic, cheese, salt and pepper and lime juice
- Process the mixture until smooth
- Add the spinach and arugula and process until blended
- Gradually add the olive oil and blend
- Don't over process
