Do NOT throw away those stale bagels!
“Unfried” Bagel Topping
- Servings: 1 Cup
- Prep Time: 5 hr
- Cooking Time: 16 hr
Ingredients
- 1 Chocolate bagel (thawed & cut into chunks)
- Spray oil (I recommend Winona Pure Oil)
- Cinnamon
- Raw honey
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 300°
- Layer a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Spray lightly with oil (I used coconut but you can use any variety)
- Place the thawed bagel into a mini chopper
- Pulse until no larger chunks appear
- Place on the prepared baking sheet
- Sprinkle with cinnamon
- Spray with additional oil
- Bake until lightly browned but do not over bake or they will be too crunchy
- Top your favorite frozen dessert and drizzle with honey
- Best served the same day but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days
