This is a new spin on a classic crumb cake recipe. A delicious chocolate chip crumb cake for breakfast or brunch.
Chocolate Chip Crumb Cake
Cooking Time: 40 minIngredients
- 1-½ sticks unsalted butter, room temp.
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ¾ c sugar
- 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
- ½ cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1-½ cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips, semi-sweet
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Spray a 9x12 pan with non-stick spray.
- Prepare streusel - combine first 5 ingredients and set aside.
- To make the cake - cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the milk.
- Add the vanilla and egg
- Add the dry ingredients.
- Fold in the chips.
- Pour into cake pan.
- Top with streusel.
- Bake for 40 minutes.
