Crispy Egg and Cheese Sandwich

This is my goto morning meal. Just fry an egg and when you flip it over, sprinkle some grated cheese around the edge, half on the egg, half on the pan. The Cheese will crisp up and give you a ton of flavor for very little fat. Cover with a thin slice of ham, maybe some tomatoes and serve on an english muffin or toast and you've got a great way to start the day. Go get em!

Crispy Egg and Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • small handful grated cheese
  • thin slice of ham
  • optional tomato slices
  • English muffin or toast

Preparation

  1. Pop your toast or English muffin in the toaster.
  2. Over medium heat, start frying your egg.
  3. Once you flip it, sprinkle the edge with grated cheese, just a little bit.
  4. Place a thin slice of ham on top.
  5. Let the cheese crisp up but don't let the egg over cook.
  6. Remove egg and place on toast/English muffin. Add some tomato slices.
  7. Enjoy.
