Matcha green tea pancakes can be a great way to start off your day. This delicious treat is easy to prepare, full of great nutrients and will keep your stomach amply filled throughout the morning.

Matcha Green Tea Pancake

Ingredients

1 egg
3 ounces of milk
2 tablespoons of butter or vegetable oil
1 or 2 tablespoons sugar
1/8 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of flour
1 or 2 tablespoons of matcha tea powder
1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/8 teaspoon of salt

Preparation

Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, matcha tea powder and salt together in a bowl.

Add egg, milk, butter or vegetable oil as per your preference and a dash of vanilla extract and whisk the batter until it's still a bit lumpy. You may add chocolate chips as well if you prefer and stir it a little again.

Grease your saucepan lightly and heat it over medium-low heat.

Pour a few dollops of batter onto the center of your saucepan and cook for about a minute.

As tiny bubbles begin to rise to the surface of the pancake and burst, flip it over and repeat the process a minute more until the edges are lightly golden brown.

Now, your matcha green tea pancakes are ready to be served.

A great maple syrup will do wonders to your delicacy.

Matcha green tea is one of my favorite recipes and an easy one to prepare as well. The matcha tea powder is what gives this meal its unique flavor. This is one breakfast meal that will keep your palate as well as stomach filled.
