A delicious summer recipe! Sweet yet not overpowering, that perfect balance of fruit and sweets.

Strawberry Snowball Cake

  • Yield: 10-12
  • Prep Time: 30 min

Ingredients

  • 1 quart strawberries (sliced)
  • 1-8 oz block cream cheese (softened)
  • 2-8 oz cool whip
  • 1 Angel Food Cake
  • 2 cups powdered (confectioner's sugar)
  • 1 package strawberry gel
  • 1 package of blueberries (optional)

Preparation

  1. Cut the angel food cake in half. Tear one half into small pieces and place in a 9X13 pan.
  2. Mix together cream cheese, confectioner's sugar, and cool whip. Spread mixture over the angel food cake in pan.
  3. Tear the other half of angel food cake into small pieces and place on top of cream cheese mixture.
  4. Mix the strawberry gel with sliced strawberries. Spread on top.
  5. *Optional* Sprinkle blueberries on top
  6. Refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving.
