Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

HEADLINE from TODAY: Virginia mom charged with murder for death of 4-year-old son who consumed THC gummies

https://www.today.com/parents/...

I read this tragic headline today and have to share some hands-on insight.

I started tracking unintended ingestion of medications in 2013 after discovering how easily my four-year-old daughter got into something in our bathroom.

Accidental or unintentional ingestion does not pay attention to borders, politics, or legal vs. illegal medications. It can strike anywhere, anytime, and ANY family.

As with seatbelts, safe habits can save lives.

I don't foresee laws requiring you to lock up medications, so it is up to parents and caregivers to practice Safe, Responsible Storage.

Do you have your adult on medications under lock and key? Tragedies like the one mentioned are avoidable, and that is why I love this forum to help get the word out. Together we can save lives and make a difference.

My ask: Start by securing your medications in your home. Keep kids, pets and adults safe.

Got them. Lock them.
