When it comes to motherhood, it is essential to be a successful failure. Why would any mom strive to fail, you may ask? Well, no one has the perfect day everyday and when you realize that failing is okay, normal and actually healthy, you have Mastered Motherhood.

If you expect to be the perfect mother, wife, friend and woman every day, you are setting unrealistic goals, which will constantly make you disappointed, miserable and depressed. If every day was the perfect day, you would never know what it was like to struggle at parenthood, and there is nothing more rewarding than succeeding at something difficult and challenging.

Becoming a Mommy Master means that you embrace the bad, cherish the good, and learn from all of your experiences as a mom.

There are days when I have little to no patience, and the littlest thing can make me snap at the kids and feel absolutely helpless and overwhelmed. There are other days where I have loads of patience and take the time to remember that my kids are kids and are just acting their ages.

My bad days help me appreciate my great days, which seem even more amazing, and my great days give me hope and confidence that a bad day is just that, a day, which means I can look forward to a new one tomorrow.

Motherhood is the hardest job in the world and we have to allow ourselves to fail once in a while. For those of you moms who are having a crappy day, it’s okay. Take a deep breath, know you are not alone and realize you’ll get through it. For those of you moms who are having a great day, inspire and encourage another mom who may have woken up on a different side of the bed than you.
