Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

I haven't felt inspired—I've felt tired.

And I share that tidbit with you in case you, recently or ongoingly, have been feeling the same.

A little less spark, a little more dark.

A little less peppy with a lot less of it in your steppy.

YOU. ARE. NOT. ALONE.

Everyone I know, from young kids to adults to the elderly, are all feeling

depleted,

defeated,

cheated

and

pretty much entirely over

the -effing pandemic,

social distancing,

vaccine seeking,

mask-wearing,

symptom-diagnosing,

and touch-fearing.

Most everyone I talk to is

failing miserably at staying "balanced"

and riding the line of sanity like a drunken fool;

drunk on news,

drunk on health content,

drunk on stress and anxiety,

drunk on all the articles,

drunk on expectations -- those they hold for themselves and those others are holding them to.

And, heck, sometimes, just plain drunk.

But here's the thing..

Life is an adventure, and you're on yours.

Some days are going to be boring.

Some will be terrifying.

Some will be thrilling.

Some will be overwhelming.

Some will be as close to perfect as they can get in a pandemic-plagued world.

But it is all of these days

-- the good ones, the crappy ones, the ones that scare the hell out of us, the ones that teach us something, the ones that are worth more than gold --

that are shaping us into the

best,

hella-aware,

most honest and content version of ourselves, and, seriously, freakin' cheers to that.
