This Chicken Over Rice recipe is one I have been enjoying all my life. I'm so glad that my Beanie girl loves to spend time in the kitchen with her Momma and learning the real ways to cook. By allowing your children in the kitchen with you they are willing to try new foods, are excited to eat what they've created and are learning life skills at an early age.
There are those recipes that we pass down from generation to generation. There are never any changes made throughout the years and when you are chowing down on these family recipes it just brings you back to your childhood, the smell of the house sparks special memories and I love the fact that as a Mother I'm now able to share these experiences with my own children.
This Chicken Over Rice was originally made by my Grandmother. She made it often for my Mother as a child who then in turned made it for her family and I now make for my own little family. Hannah has literally been making this Crock-Pot recipe on her own for nearly 5 years now!
We hope that you enjoy this recipe as much as our family does. It's made often and one we enjoy on nights when we'd otherwise run to a drive thru from a crazy night of running errands or attending practice.
Hannah and I invite you over to MyHeavenlyRecipes.com for more Kid Friendly Recipes. All recipes at MHR are Kid Tested, Husband Approved and take less than 30 minutes of your time to create with organic, un-processed ingredients.
