I got a tummy tuck because I hated my post-baby belly, and I am so glad I did.

Here's the thing, I love myself, and I love my body, and that i s why I got a tummy tuck. I felt shame because I opted to alter my body after baby, when all the other moms I know in real life, and in online mommy groups are so pro "you must love your post baby body." I felt like I would be judged, and perceived as conceited or too self involved, but nonetheless I proceeded with my decision to get rid of the bowl of jiggly jello that hung over me like a dark cloud, and I can say with 100% honesty- I am happier in my own body than I have ever been!

I never had a super flat tummy, I have the type of body that likes to store fat in my belly (yay). After two c-sections and two hernias from pregnancy, my belly was a disaster. To top it all off, I am a person who loves beauty & fashion (heck, I made a career out of it), so it really messed with my head to not be able to wear the things that I loved. Let's get something clear- this wasn't or isn't a weight issue, this was solely a belly issue.

The actual process of getting the tummy tuck was awful, and the recovery was harder than I thought, but now, 3 years later, I am so pleased with my results, I have my confidence back, and I feel comfortable in my own skin, which is all that really matters to me. So- if you want to change something about yourself, I say do it! Do what makes you happy, yolo.

You can find me on-air & on instagram or my blog, I've got the scoop on the latest skin/beauty trends and travel tips too!
