Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

Stop right now and read this.

If you’re struggling to find your purpose. If you feel like you’re failing. If you’re lacking motivation. If you need encouragement. If you need a reminder that you matter.

I’m here to tell you right here, right now… it’s never too late. It’s never too late to start over. It’s never too late to start dreaming. It’s never too late to love yourself again.

Don’t let the ridiculous falsehood of social media standards fool you. We all have crappy days. We all have our secrets. We all have our demons. We all have our struggles. And we all want to give up sometimes. Especially those of us trying to juggle 8,547 things at once.

But you know what else we all have? We all have the ability to start again tomorrow. We all have our faith. Our perseverance. Our stamina. Our motivation. Our love. Our dreams.

I am here to encourage you. Don’t give up because this season is hard. Don’t lose hope or the beauty in yourself because this season is so strongly about giving to others. Don’t lose your smile or your ability to laugh and enjoy the simplicities in life. I’ve been there. Find your smile again. I promise life is more enjoyable that way.

If you fail, get back up and try again.

If you mess up, apologize sincerely and hope like hell the good people in your life give you grace.

If people hurt you, give them that same grace and forgive even when people don’t deserve it.

If you lose yourself, start today, in this moment, and do everything you can to find yourself again.

If you think you don’t matter, walk up to a mirror right this second and remind yourself that you do.

If you have the chance to make someone smile, just do it. Don’t expect anything in return.

No matter what your circumstances are, you can overcome them. You can come back bigger, stronger and harder than ever before. You can be better.

If you would have told me 2 1/2 years ago this is where I would be in my life I would have laughed at you. 3 beautiful and healthy little boys, a supportive and loving husband, friend, and partner in life, a career I love and pour my heart and soul into every single day, and my passion in life, my writing, finally reaching people and I feel like sometimes making a difference.

But let me tell you – my road to get here was not an easy one. It was bumpy and ugly and sometimes scary. It certainly isn’t one I would wish on others. I was broken. I was lost. I was a disaster of a human for a hot second a few years back. The important part of the story though, is that I pushed forward and I found myself again. I found my faith again. I found my purpose in life again.

I’m a walking testament that even if you feel like you will never make it out on the other side, you will. I’m nowhere near the woman I want to be yet. But I’ll be damned if I’m not pushing myself to find her every single day.

Reach deep down inside your heart, find yourself and hold on tight. Your road to happiness is not the same as anyone else’s. But your road to happiness is there.

Your purpose matters more than you know. Find your peace. She's in there. Find her.

Love and Hugs,
Nicki - Momming all the Boys
