When traveling with children with Coronavirus circulating everywhere, it is necessary to take into account a series of very important indications:

  • Wear a mask covering the nose and mouth in public places. In the case of children, consult the policy of each country as the mandatory age to wear it may vary. Do not use it on children under 2 years of age due to risk of suffocation.
  • Avoid close contact with people outside your household and try to keep a distance of more than one meter.
  • Wash hands with soap and water very often or with a pharmacy disinfectant.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. It is important to explain this point calmly to the children so that they understand the origin of the contagions.

TRANSPORTATION

It is normal to wonder about what is, right now, the safest means of transportation to travel with children in times of Coronavirus.

Well, applying logic, the one that implies the greatest safety at this time is your own vehicle or a totally private transport. You will only have contact with your family members, which represents an additional security.

We use a private Cancun airport transportation service, which is the means we have chosen this summer 2020 to travel with our little one to Cancun and also to the Riviera Maya and Tulum area.

However, taking the necessary precautions according to the stops along the road (gas stations, public restrooms, tolls ...).

COVID-19 AND ACCOMMODATIONS

On the subject of whether it is safe to travel with children with the Coronavirus and accommodations it is also normal to have certain doubts.

Although the truth is that both hotel establishments, as well as apartments, rural houses, campsites... are carrying out constant cleaning and disinfection works to offer a minimum of guarantees against the virus.

In addition, as far as we have been able to observe, access to common areas has been limited and breakfast buffets, for example, are only served by the hotel staff or must be chosen a la carte. In addition, there are usually hydro-alcoholic gel dispensers available everywhere. This has been the case, at least, in all the accommodations we have stayed in so far since this all started.

Also, renting an apartment can be a good option at this time since you will not have to coincide with other guests, for example.
