After so many years of travelling, a visit to Croatia was always a priority for our family. One of the places on top of our list was to go to Croatia as it was recommended by so many people.

It was time to take a holiday with the whole family including the kids. Since Croatia has plenty of summer resorts, we decided that there will be a lot of activities that will cater entertainment for both me and my wife but most of all my two male kids. We first landed in Zagreb the capital city of Croatia. There were plenty of historical sites including museums and also tours with a great variety of outdoor activities to choose from. Our main priority was to make sure our kids will be entertained so we headed to the Maksimir Park on day one

The park had a large zoo which was a great attraction and a good day to spend our first day in Zagreb. On day two we headed to The Jarun Lake which had beautiful greenary surroundings which made it a pleasantful experience to have a walk around the beautiful scenes while enjoying the outdoor sunshine. There were a number of restaurants to choose from including The Boban italian restaurant which was one of our favorites as it served italian food including delicious choices of pizza and pasta. We stayed at the Esplanade Zagreb hotel which offered us a great service, including a room in great condition with an amazing view of the outside scenery. It was modern and clean with excellent staff and a five star bed and breakfast service.

On day three we headed to Dubrovnik which is a one hour flight from Zagreb the capital city of Croatia. We stayed at luxury holiday villa in Croatia because of its great location near the centre of attractions in Dubrovnik and also cause of its great service in terms of accomdation and quality of food. Some of the most popular things to do in Dubrovnik is to walk round the outer wall of the old city which will will allow you to absorb some of the amazing scenery and the city itself. We visited the city walls which offered excellent photo opportunities.

The kids particularly enjoyed Banje Beach. We spent a whole day laying down on the beach under an umbrella, enjoying the sunshine and the view while ordering a drink and ice cream for the kids but that's not all Banje had to offer us. We had a deep in the Dubrovnik's warm crystal clear sea. We then decided to rent a pedal boat that took us besides the City walls. There was also a popular spot which is well hidden that we visitied called café Buza which is right near the sea which allowed us to sunbade, have a coffee and enjoy the beautiful sunshine. Sadly our holiday had come to a close but definitely this was not our last and final trip to Croatia as we were well pleased of our five day stay in this beautiful country.

The kids have had a wonderful experience in both Zagreb and Dubrovnik and will definitely want to go again in the near future.
