My husband was my roommate long before he was my husband. He used to tell me that he was never getting married or having kids. Well, things didn't go exactly how he had planned. We fell in love, got married and a year later we were pregnant. It never really hit him until Nora was born and he held her for the first time! He was smitten from the first moment he saw our daughter.

My amazing husband took all of the nighttime feedings when she was a newborn. I have narcolepsy and it was really bad after she was born. I was having hallucinations (typical with narcolepsy) and I was scared that I would be too confused to be able to take care of her. So, my husband took care of her during the night. Then he took on the grocery shopping, so that I wouldn't have to go and I could spend more time with Nora.

I am a teacher and my husband stays home with our 1 year old daughter so we could save on child care. He was determined to teach her how to walk! He would send me messages during the day that would say "I am so in love with this little girl!" For someone who never wanted kids, he is an amazing father. Our daughter adores him! And so do I.

I love you!
