I consider myself to be a fun mom. Maybe that's my overconfidence side showing, but my kids do like spending time with me. They love joining me at the events where I'm doing media coverage for the day. We also spend time watching a lot of the same shows, which gives us something to always talk about during our frequent road trips.

Of course, no matter how much I'd like to believe that there's no way humanly possible I could be the uncool parent, my kid's reaction, or lack thereof the moment my favorite retro or old skool jam comes on, proves that I am not super-duper fly or got the right stuff.

That's why I had to share this cute and hilarious video from a high school friend that was brave enough to capture how unimpressed her adorable kids were with her taste in music.

I think ALL parents can agree; this is at least one of your kids the second you pump up the jam and try to break it down like you're back at the roller-skating rink or watching MTV; when they only played music.
