My grandchildren love museums and the zoo! We have memberships to some of them so that we can go whenever we want. I have seven grandchildren, so it's worth getting a membership. The other museums have free days so we take advantage of those days.

The Children's Museum of Houston is one of the best children's museums in the world! They have so many fun days, so we dress according to the theme. The latest theme is S.E.C.R.E.T. Mission. My grandchildren had a ball dressing up as spies. We either made their accessories or purchased them from the dollar store. The activities included solving the Secret Mission with puzzles and clues.

The Houston Zoo is so amazing! We visit once each week. My grandchildren decide which animals we are going to visit so that we are not rushed. The zoo has a water park in the back, giraffe feeding times, and a beautiful carousel. They love the Dinosaur exhibit with giant animatronic dinosaurs. The miniature train ride is traditional with each visit and it stops in front of the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

Summer Fun.....don't grow up without it!
