French Toast

The perfect start to the day with a French Toast Breakfast. Fuel your tummy and fuel your brain!

French Toast

  • Servings: 4 slices
  • Yield: 3
  • Prep Time: 5 min

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • Optional- 1 tablespoon pumkinpie spice or cinnamon spice
  • Sourdough bread or your favorite bread
  • Maple Syrup- pure
  • Butter- real
  • Seasonal Fresh fruit- strawberries, blueberries, cooked apples, etc (all fresh)

Preparation

  1. Slice bread in equal slices or buy pre-sliced
  2. Mix 1st three ingredients and add spices. Set aside
  3. Pre-heat skillet or griddle on medium high and lightly spray with olive oil
  4. Dip bread on egg wash mixture and place in skillet or on griddle.
  5. Cook each side about 3-5 minutes or till golden brown
  6. Plate and top with a little pad of butter, pure maple syrup and fresh fruit optional.
  7. Eat and enjoy!

Always remember a little is better than a lot when it comes to butter and syrup. Maple syrup is a little more expensive but so much better for you than pancake syrup.
