The perfect start to the day with a French Toast Breakfast. Fuel your tummy and fuel your brain!
French Toast
- Servings: 4 slices

- Prep Time: 5 min
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- ⅔ cup milk
- Optional- 1 tablespoon pumkinpie spice or cinnamon spice
- Sourdough bread or your favorite bread
- Maple Syrup- pure
- Butter- real
- Seasonal Fresh fruit- strawberries, blueberries, cooked apples, etc (all fresh)
Preparation
- Slice bread in equal slices or buy pre-sliced
- Mix 1st three ingredients and add spices. Set aside
- Pre-heat skillet or griddle on medium high and lightly spray with olive oil
- Dip bread on egg wash mixture and place in skillet or on griddle.
- Cook each side about 3-5 minutes or till golden brown
- Plate and top with a little pad of butter, pure maple syrup and fresh fruit optional.
- Eat and enjoy!
Recipe Tags
Always remember a little is better than a lot when it comes to butter and syrup. Maple syrup is a little more expensive but so much better for you than pancake syrup.
