Happy Thirsty Thursday, y’all! Hope everyone is parched because I have a delicious drink to share with you guys today! But, first I absolutely must ramble, because I need to pick your brain.
A few of you have said you forgive me for blabbering on about the boonies and that you actually like hearing about my new NC life. I feel like this give me permission and free reign to keep my posts moving in the country-bumpkin-pine-needle-lovin’ direction. No? Hmmm… well, bear with me for one (or possibly way more) posts. Because, today I have a real life, seriously imperative problem and I need your help!
People around here name their homes. So cute, right? I yearn to be included in this house naming. I mean, who doesn’t want a perfectly hand painted rustic looking sign at the end of their long driveway and on the front of their home, telling you, ‘you have arrived’? Unpack your bags, kick off those loafers (or shoes if that’s how you roll. No worries, I will have you in some Sperrys before you know it), take a load off, make one with nature and breathe in the medicinal air while I pour you a Tequila Kiwi Smash. (<– Don’t worry we will get to that drink)
Seeeeeee, I obviously need our home to have a name! It says everything. It must happen. My in-laws have THE cutest name for their home. It’s a family house name and I covet how inviting and simply fabulous it is – Laughalot. This is a name that says it all. I want my house to have a name that is très chic! I have been racking my brain and I can’t think of anything. At all. This is why I need your help! You guys are super smart and seriously clever… got any ideas?
So, for putting up with me and racking your brain for fantastic names for my homie-home, I made you guys a luscious libation – Tequila Kiwi Smash.
I feel like the name says it all (kind of like my house name soon will). Tequila + Kiwi = Taste Buds are smashed with refreshingly delicious flavor. Too simple of a description?
This cocktail is fruity, mint-ificent, slightly sweet and super effervescent. It is not overwhelmingly potent at all, so if you like your drink stiff (no judgment here), simply add more tequila. This cocktail is mellow, summa’-summa’ time scrumptious fun in a tall, cold class. It is the perfect way to start the weekend, or welcome arriving guests out on your large front porch. Simply put, it is pretty and delicious. Who doesn’t want to shake together a little bit of that into their life?
So grab your muddler and some tall glasses. Sip on this kiwi-tasticness while you help me think of a house name as smashing as this drink. I’ll be forever in your debt! Until next time, Cheers friends! *clink clink*
