At Jennie Schmidt’s family farm, she assists in the daily operations of a 2000-acre, third-generation diversified farm, growing corn, soybeans, wheat, barley, vegetables, and grapes. When she’s not working the fields Jennie enjoys spending time with her two children. Her family is also expecting their first grandchild soon.
Jennie is a registered dietitian and serves on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Future of Food initiative. She is also a spokeswoman for A Fresh Look, a farmer-led nonprofit focused on educating moms about the benefits of GMO Farming.
