Jodi Kalson grew up in South Florida, graduated from the University of Florida, and received her law degree from Widener University Delaware Law School in 2007. She works as a Business and Tort Litigation Staff Attorney at Jones Day in Atlanta, GA. Prior to that, she practiced law in Philadelphia for several years before giving birth to her twin daughters, Micah and Harley. They were born at 27 weeks in 2013. Harley passed away at 8 1/2 months old after spending her entire life in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia NICU. In 2019, Jodi wrote a children's book, The Girl Who Lives in the Sky, to help parents discuss the loss of a loved one with young children in a way that is bright and positive, rather than dark and scary, like some children's books that handle the topic of grief. A portion of the proceeds from each sale go to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in memory of Harley. Jodi lives in Atlanta with her daughters, Micah and Riley.
