Kassie Perkins
Kassie Perkins was crowned Miss for America 2020 in August after serving as Miss Tennessee for America in 2019. Experiencing firsthand how addiction affected her father and family, Kassie advocates heavily for and addiction prevention and recovery, working to spread awareness and hope for those impacted by addiction. Kassie recently partnered with American Addiction Centers for a special series – Recovery is Relative. In the series, she shares insight from her family’s journey from addiction to recovery. Kassie is also passionate about childhood literacy. She began her journey with Page Ahead, supporting childhood literacy nearly ten years ago. Through Page Ahead, and her partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, she has spoken with over 60,000 young readers across Tennessee and raised over $30,000 for the Imagination Library. Kassie grew up in rural Morgan County, Tennessee and attended Tennessee Tech where she received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and later a Master’s in Business Administration.
