At my 8 week ultrasound, my husband I found out I had a 12 cm cyst on my right ovary. We were advised to have surgery and remove the cyst. Surgery went well, but we were told the cyst was ovarian cancer. I had no symptoms. If I had never gotten pregnant, we would have never known about the cancer.

Soon after I was diagnosed, I began chemotherapy treatment. It was the toughest thing I have ever done in my life. Not only was I growing a tiny human inside me, but I was receiving infusions and working full time. At 37 weeks, I delivered a healthy 8 lb 7 oz baby boy. We’re both doing well. He is now a healthy and happy 1 year old, and I am in remission! He’s definitely my miracle baby!
