I think I forgot to thank you for the genuine smile that greets my little person each morning. Thank you.

I think I forgot to thank you for the items that you purchase from your own paycheck that go to extra things for your classroom. Thank you.

I think I forgot to thank you for making sure my ragamuffin looked somewhat well-kempt for picture day, if even just for a few minutes. Thank you.

I think I forgot to thank you for sending me a photo of my proud son receiving an award when I was stuck at home with the flu.

I think I forgot to thank you for getting up extra early, rushing your own children, just so you could welcome my own. Thank you.

I think I forgot to thank you for enveloping a child in your arms when I forgot that I was supposed to be there with all the other moms. Thank you.

I think I forgot to thank you for your willingness to genuinely listen to a child that ponders what news will be shared with you each and every day. Thank you.

I think I forgot to thank you for stopping at our table the other evening just so you could say hello to the child that still adores you. Thank you.

I think I forgot to thank you for the dry underpants you never made a fuss over and the time you cleaned up vomit and were nothing but sympathetic. Thank you.

I think I forgot to thank you for not sending homework on our vacation, it was so nice to spend time exploring instead of laboring over worksheets. Thank you.

I think I forgot to thank you for being the soul that loves my child and spends time mirroring the traits that I admire in you. Thank you.
