“A Mother’s love sounds like a book being read.” - my son, age 9

Seeing these words penciled in my son’s 9-year-old handwriting instantly melted my heart. I still recall them often when I need to remind myself that I am doing something right.

I feel like I have failed – am failing – at so many aspects of parenting. I have not lived up to my own expectations.

But, if nothing else, my investment in reading to my kids is my success – for, when I read, they hear love ❤️

What does your love sound like to your children? Ask and you may get a surprising, heartfelt answer. I'd love to hear about it in the comments 💛
