I never understood the love of a mother until I became one, go figure.
Edison James (my son) has made me feel rich in many ways but in view of mothers day I want to share one particular facet of motherhood he has truly illuminated. Over the first week of being a mama I was sorting through all the overwhelming emotions of recovery and the intense love for this little person who came from me and my husband. My thoughts kept lingering on my own Mom who went through this with five kiddos, caring for us and loving us so we can pass on that love for our children. My mom taught me how to sing to my baby, comfort and play with my son by caring for me and loving me. I am happy to be that person for Edison. He has made me want to become better, to be kinder to everyone so that he will follow suit. Thanks to Edison I have a peek into my own Mother’s heart and I assume into women everywhere who are blessed to be called Mom.Thank you Mom!
