Hi everybody! I can’t believe it’s time to start talking about “Back to School” stuff! Where did the summer go!?
This is a very big year for my family. My twins are starting preschool for the first time, and my oldest son is starting Kindergarten on the same day! This will be the twins' first “school” experience, so I’m wondering how they’ll adapt. For Kayin, my oldest—he’s now used to “taking the train” every morning to school. But this year it will be a new school, new classmates, and new routine! So yes…. I anticipate lots of happy tears as they all start on the same morning! I’m hoping to somehow split myself in half. I don’t want to miss walking into either classroom. Gotta figure that out.
How will we get to two different schools (on two different sides of town) by 8:30 am every morning? Gotta figure that out.
Who’s going to pick them up if my husband and I have to work? Gotta figure that out.
One good thing — BOTH SCHOOLS have lunch for the kids. So no packing lunches this year! Yay! That’s figured out!! See? Progress.
Honestly I’ve never been one for “charts and schedules,” but I have a feeling that will be the only way to survive. So…. I’ll take any loving advice from you I can get!
Bath time for all of the kiddos the night before?
Make dinner for the week on Sunday?
Set out clothes and backpacks the night before?
I’d love to hear creative solutions to making it all work! Let’s chat! It’s an exciting time— I’m looking forward to the adventure! Cheers!
