Can America really be great again? We want to be great, we fight to be great, we pray to be great and we hope to be great. So, where exactly are we going wrong? Why is a nation, full of passionate people, suffering? Is it because, perhaps, we have put all of our hope into one man or one woman? It's almost, as if, we have given them the power to choose our future. Some of you may be saying, well yes...essentially after this election, one of them will decide the future of our country. And, maybe that's the case, but can that one man or woman chart the course for your family's future?
Now, I find myself back at the question...Can America really be great again? I believe the answer is - yes. But, we have to start at home not at the election polls. We have to start in the quiet of the morning before the kids wake or in the middle of the chaos, that after school brings. We have to start during the intimate hours between husband and wife. We have to strengthen the familial foundation across America in order to make the U.S great again. We truly have to take our hope away from the face that can be seen and put our hope in the face that is unseen. One man or woman cannot and will not make America great again.
"Since we have such a hope, we are very bold" 2 Corinthians 3:12. Bold, that is exactly what we have to be. We have to boldly raise a generation of adults who will turn the tides from the corrupt waves that are slamming against us. Don't fret and fight over who will become the next President of the United States of America. Instead look to the King and true leader, our Father YHWH. It's foolish to believe that the power lies within one human here on earth. We can argue our points for the different candidates all we want but, we have been taught through scripture that we are destined for certain paths. We have already been ordained for such a time as this. We may fight it and show a stubborn face to our destiny, but at the end of the day we need not worry about the matters of this world. We must put our hope, trust and faith in the one who has the real power.
To make America great again, we have to shift our focus from what can be seen to what is unseen. "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18. We live for something greater than we will ever experience on this earth and in this lifetime. We raise our children to be kind, loving and bold. We first take care of what YHWH God has blessed us with and then once that job is done, we venture out and take care of the rest. We teach our children this concept. We teach our children how to be content with things. We teach them that if they continually try and be better than one, they'll never be good enough. We restore essential key values in our lives, such as, faith, agape, servanthood, compassion, obedience, respect, passion and old fashioned work ethics. We show our children and the next generation what it looks like to love our spouse and truly submit to their needs. We strive to live a righteous and Godly life, like no other in this world. We work at being obedient to YHWH's commandments, his truth. We do all of this not by preaching but by doing. Actions will forever be and always have been louder than words.
So, when the election is over don't cry for your loss or rejoice in your gain, because it really doesn't matter who is in office as President. Instead, I beg you to get to work. Work on sanctifying your marriage and your family. Work on raising the next generation, the generation that really can make America great again.
