Is it over yet?
Covid?
'Cause I'm over it.
I'm so done with social distancing,
and dying for
more hugs,
more awkward, unmasked, impromptu convos with those I know and those I don’t,
more concerts,
more meals...INSIDE,
more vacations,
more playdates,
more events to attend,
a return for my kids to their brick and mortar,
a return for my loves to things they love, like dance and baseball and other group activities.
But Covid is not over yet.
And so,
I guess,
slightly reluctantly but consciously willingly,
I'll remember that
it's not over just because I'm over it.
There's a light at the end of the tunnel, but until I can see it, I've got to continue to make some of my own -- every day -- and be grateful I've got four humans in my life who make that so gosh darn easy when I sit down and really think about it.
