Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

Dad,

I figure today is the perfect day to remind you how much you are loved, appreciated, and admired.

I have so many childhood memories. I remember driving to random houses and announcing we are here as we pulled in the driveway. I remember being so excited to show you all the dance moves we worked on while you were at work. I always loved when you were home for breakfast and made your famous “garbage pail eggs.” I was always so excited when you came to one of my soccer games or track meets.

There are special moments that only you and I shared that I’ll never forget -walking with you on beach and going with you to your job. I felt special that I had your full attention. You made me feel like a princess. I now know how hard it was for you to work and make time for your family of five. But you did it!!

My children idolize you and I can see why. You talk to them and ask them questions. You make them feel special and they always know how proud you are of them. You make them laugh.

You are their Papa.

I’ve always admired how hard you work. You are 70 years old and still working 10 hours a day (often more) and traveling. You are a master of your craft, yet you're always willing to learn more. And your always willing to teach others. There are millionaires out there who owe some of their success to you.

You take pride in your home and yard. You are always working inside and outside to make everything gorgeous. The boys and I love going there and always have so much fun.

You have a beautiful marriage built on love and trust to model mine after. You’ve been with mom for 50 years. I love watching you guys and knowing that time can’t change the love you have.

My friends love you. They absolutely adore you. Whether it’s dinners out on the town, a sporting event, or a wine festival - they want you there. You make us laugh. You make everyone feel like somebody.

I can always count on you. You and mom are always there for us. Sometimes it’s a phone call with advice and sometimes it’s taking our kids so we can have a date night.

Thank you for helping me develop my relationship with God. And for helping my children find God.

We love you.
