So, I am 55 yrs old with a 7 yr old daughter and a 4 yr old son. My husband is 42 yrs old. He is the primary income and I am secondary. We both love our kids very much; however, differently.......and that is an issue more often than it needs to be.
As I wait for a hip replacement in 3 weeks, I feel the pain of 4 rotator cuff/bicep repair surgeries from 3 car wrecks in 18 mos during 2015 & 2016.
I am sharing this because I was fortunate enough to see Hoda’s return to her show with Maria S. to where tons of friends offered advice, and Hoda said that her biggest joy is knowing that her “compass if finally pointed in the right direction”. That hit home with me after living a life with little to no substance. Very tough childhood, rough life, and now with my 2 beautiful children, I too feel like my compass is pointed in the right direction. Hooray, it I the best feeling in the world! I have a very important task at hand. Raise these kiddos to the best of my ability, keeping them safe, providing the best education I can and providing a loving, happy environment to grow up in. Things I did not have, and maybe that is why it seems so very fulfilling?!?!
And then the lovely, heart-felt, Maria Shriver steps in to reiterate, explain and share making you feel that she too has experienced it all as well. Love her!!!
Dads Rock, but sometimes we are a little uncertain too!!!
