How to make recycled crayons
Materials needed:
- Crayons (new or old)
- Silicon or metal muffin pan
Instructions:
Firstly, peeling off all the paper labels on crayons, next breaking the crayons into small pieces. You can do it by your hand or using a knife to chop them into smaller pieces. Then dividing broken crayons into the 12 cups in a silicon or metal muffin tin, you can divide them into different colors.
At here we have six cups are sorted and six cups are mixed. We like the sorted ones, but mixed ones also look cool.
Heating the oven to 230F, place the muffin tin in the oven, if you are sing a silicon muffin tin, you have to place on a baking sheets. Baking for 15-20 minutes. You need to use toothpicks to stir and rotate the pan as the mine is not melting evenly. Watch carefully when wax is mostly melted, you can pull the pan out.
Allow the muffin tin to cool completely. You can put it in the fridge that will help loose the crayons in a tin. You remember that don't put a hot pan in the fridge because it will heat the fridge and the food will be spoiled. Finally, pop the crayons out of the pan and you have cool crayons for your kids.
