I wish that I had known that you would not need all of the baby gear that the books, magazines and blogs. It seems moms are focused on getting all of the right gear, and I wish I had just been focused on how much I was going to enjoy those first few weeks with my new baby. I wish I had just enjoyed our time, even those late night feedings. I would tell moms to involve your spouse or partner more in those first few weeks. Let them help you and become just as invested in the day to day duties as you are. I thought at first that only I could do the things my baby needed, but I learned that my husband could help out too. I wish I had relied on him more in those first couple of weeks. Above all, enjoy the time you have with your newborn, because they are only a newborn for such a blink in time.​
