Right now, we’re all feeling a little stuck. We’re getting lost in a sea of stress and snack wrappers. We’re filling our minds with information, but our lives are still missing so much.
We’re missing our friends.
We’re missing our play dates and ball practices and Target runs.
We’re missing our church gatherings and field trips and girls’ nights.
We’re missing our teachers.
We’re missing our grandparents’ hugs.
And we’re longing for some normalcy and to see the sunshine break through the clouds.
Friends, I want to encourage you to keep in touch.
Keep sharing those videos of your baby’s slobbery kisses.
And those pictures from that trip to the beach.
I want to see your puppies playing on the porch.
And the dances you’re jamming out to at home.
Share when the birds are singing.
And when your garden is beginning to bloom.
Because it’s so easy to get lost in worry and let isolation drag us down. But if we just stop and take a good look, God’s blessings are still all around.
So if you’re reading this post, I want you to know you’ve got a friend in me. And even with a bit more distance between us, I still care about you and how you’re feeling.
Let’s keep praying for each other and sharing our hearts and checking in.
Because we’re still in this together.
I’ll always love my friends.
