My 8-year-old daughter snapped these pictures of her father and me yesterday having a lazy Sunday afternoon, and I'm so glad she did.

In fact, I think it's a terrific idea for us to toss our phones over to our camera-happy kids more often.

I don't have very many pictures of me that are not shameless selfies.

I also don't have very many candids of the hubs and I just living this exhausting, but damn fulfilling life we lead.

Honestly, these are probably my new favorite pictures of my man and me.

And, had my little big girl not taken it upon herself to document this seemingly insignificant moment, I probably would not have realized how meaningful it must have been for her to see her parents so cozy, comfortable, and in love.

When you've been married for 11+ years, you don't embrace nearly as often as you used to or should.

When you've been married for 11+ years, have three kids, two dogs, and lots of work that needs to get done, you don't slothfully lay in bed very much.

But, we did this weekend, my daughter chronicled it, and thanks to her, I have this forever reminder of just how gratifying it is to casually lie next to someone you love.

Be sure you make time for the same this week.
