My daughter is a first time mother and her son has autisum. She is trying so hard to fight back the tears as she travel down this journey. She cannot bring herself to reach out to others, but the love she shows are son is incredible. She is his voice, his advocate and his hero. I support her and at times I am the one she knows she can voice her pain and frustration and when she gets it all out of her system i am still here to help her. My grandson is the sweetest little 6 year old. My daughter jumped into action to get him tested after we identified some of his sensory and communcation issues, Even though she does not make a lot of money, she tries hard to provide him with the tools he needs. I see myself in her because she hard learning difficulties and I made you to be her voice. My heart goes out to her because I have just lost my job and unable to help with some of the medical bills she is and will continue to receive. Her insurance has such a high deductible that is it impossible for her. Grandmothers, friends and family are the life line to these parents. I want to start a blob for grandparents of children with Autism. I al so glad that I reached out to the parenting team. I have learned so much by reading the stories. If there is any assistance that can be provided or help point me in the right direction on how I can better help my daughter, please let me know.
