Hate less. Love more.
Because whether or not someone is a stranger or your best friend, you don’t know what all that they’re going through and you don’t know all that they’ve been through. But what we do know is that kind words will always make anyone smile. Hate less + love more ♥
A follower of mine messaged me this story last week after I had mentioned TWO strangers had already mentioned my belly this early, at only 18 weeks. I told it on my mommy blogger instagram stories (@theoverwhelmedmommy) but thought it was important enough to tell again.
A husband called into a salon letting them know that his wife had just had a stillborn baby and would be coming in the next day. Because it was so recent, she still “looked physically pregnant” so wanted to make sure no one asked her about her pregnancy. I mean, cue the tears.
This story is the perfect example of that. We don’t know if the person we’re tailgating on the freeway is driving slow because it’s the first time driving since a terrible accident and we don’t know that the person who’s rude to use in the store has a short temper because they just lost their job or lost a parent, we just don’t know. So let’s always be kind and always be gracious and go out of our way to smile, to compliment or to simply show grace no matter what. Have a wonderful week everyone!
