If you're like us, your household uses a fair amount of toilet paper. Most moms and dads know that toilet paper rolls make great art assistants. In this little project, they even play a main role. However, you wouldn't necessarily know it from the final product. That is one of the reasons I enjoy this craft - there's a little secret.
Really all you need to complete this project are a few colors of squeezable paint, some toilet paper rolls and sheets of construction paper. We did this craft at my kids' school a few years ago and they loved it! The kids were happy to take it home to their parents. One great thing about this craft - they really do not need much adult help.
Gather your supplies and get ready! Have the kids bend the toilet paper rolls to look like some type of heart shape. It usually ends up looking pretty abstract, but that is part of the appeal! Once the heart is created, dip the end of the roll into the paint and "stamp" your paper all over with hearts. Now set aside to dry.
Yes, it is that easy!
I think this would also be a great way to make cards for the ones you love, or if done on butcher paper, a Valentine dinner table "cloth"!
Happy (easy) Crafting!
