Her motherhood is not yours to talk about or judge.

When she texts you canceling dinner, and she’s so sorry.

Maybe she’s exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, and overscheduled from the day and has nothing left to give.

Maybe the thought of putting anything on but pajamas at that moment feels impossible. Maybe her kids are having a hard time going to bed, and she feels guilty leaving them.

It doesn’t matter.

Because her motherhood’s not yours to talk about or judge.

When she decides to stop breastfeeding, and you see her bottle feeding for the first time.

Maybe her mental health’s suffering.

Maybe she's not producing enough milk.

Maybe her baby isn’t latching.

It doesn’t matter.

Because her motherhood’s not yours to talk about or judge.

If she decides to leave her job to stay at home with her kids.

Maybe she feels a strong pull to be at home with them right now.

Maybe it's a financially smart decision for her family.

It doesn’t matter.

Because her motherhood’s not yours to talk about or judge.

We’re ALL doing our best, and some things WILL fall to the wayside for a season, and that's okay. Whether it's friends, a plan, or a financial decision, we’ll all fall short of our own expectations and other people's expectations somehow. It’s hard not to.

But you can trust that SHE knows herself and her family best

and she’s doing what’s right for them.

So, her motherhood’s only yours to accept and support

no questions asked or advice needed.

Ever.
