To make after-school homework time run more smoothly, try using a cart to organize a homework station. It's mobile so you can easily move it from one room to another or tuck it away during the holiday season. An early childhood/elementary cart could include pencils, notebooks, folders, markers, rulers, writing paper, crayons, erasers, construction paper, glue, scissors, fidget toys, and math manipulatives. A cart for middle and high school students could include pencils, pens, highlighters, erasers, filler paper (wide-ruled, college-ruled, and graph paper), colored pencils, calculators, rulers, a compass and protractor set, index cards, glue, post-it notes, paper clips, a stapler, hole punch, scissors, felt pens, folders and binders. Set your kids up for success with a homework station.
