Today we celebrate love! Love for our partner, our loved ones and our family. For us, that includes our 2 angels in heaven. Here are 3 ways we honor Charlie and Lena today. I hope these help you and your loved ones who are going through a pregnancy loss. Always remember grief has no timeline these tools can help if the loss was recent or years ago.
Honor your angel baby this Valentine’s Day:
Make a card or create an art project
For me writing and art projects can be very therapeutic and it can be a beautiful tribute to your angel babies. My children often join me and help me complete the card or project. This year we decided to paint wooden hearts.
Our project for this year ❤️
Talk to your family and friends
Unfortunately, pregnancy and infant loss is common but we often don’t talk about it. Far to often women remain silent and when we use our voice and share our stories it helps reduce the stigma associated with loss and will empower others to share their stories as well.
Volunteer or make a donation to a charitable organization in your baby’s memory
This is a great way to make a difference and leave a legacy behind for your angel baby. Today, we are donating 2 more cuddle boxes to the non profit Operation Little Angel 101, in honor of Charlie and Lena. Other ideas: diapers to a diaper bank or new/gently used clothing to the local foster care system. Giving back and spreading kindness always helps my heart to heal.
Happy Valentine’s Day! May your day be filled with peace and love.
