If you're like most parents of young children, your kids love phone and tablet time just as much, if not more, than adults.

Kids love selfies, filters and Snapchat, and will most likely identify cell phones as their primary means of taking photos for the rest of their lives. While it's new technology for us, your kids will be pros at taking cell phone photos before they enter grade school.

So why not have some fun with it?

You can use your cell phone as a nice photo project to enjoy with your kids this spring or summer.

To look into the best ways to put together this photo project, read on.

Put Your Kids Into Their Comfort Zone

When creating a photo project, it's important that you get personality across more than anything. To do this, you will need for your kids to be comfortable and in their element.

If your kids love sports, maybe you go with a sports themed photo shoot. If they love playing dress up, go all out and let them have fun with a fashion themed shoot.

Regardless, it's up to you to keep them comfortable and make sure that this project is fun above all. While you get to come away with some keepsakes, this project is more about the bond and fun that you get to experience with each other.

Make sure that you curb the urge to take this shoot too seriously. Instead, have some fun with your kids and let them go all out with their creative contribution.

Take Your Time To Set Up For Your Shoot

If you really want to make the most of the photoshoot, it's important that you get the most out of the technology that you're using.

The iPhone X and new line of Samsung phones have some of the most sophisticated camera specs to ever hit the market. However, a phone is only as good as the lighting setup and color choices that you decide to go with.

If you go with an outdoor shoot, make sure that you pick a day that has lots of sunlight and the best visibility conditions. For an indoor shoot, you can buy some lights and a backdrop to go with it, depending on the theme and type of shoot you're planning.

Get The Most Of The Finished Product

To really come away with some keepsakes, you'll need to store the original files on a hard drive and get them reproduced of the highest quality.

This can be as basic or complex as you'd like. For instance, you can simply order some photo paper or stop by your local drug store to print the files as is, or you can open some editing software and apply color correction and other edits.

Either way, make sure that you print your favorites and frame them or add them to a photo album.

Use these tips to have a wonderful and successful photo shoot with your kids.
