I am a great mom because I believe in joy and happy memories.

I am a mom of 4, Landon, Elle and our 2 guardian angels Charlie and Lena. Experiencing 2 second trimester losses with in 16 months puts things in slightly different perspective. Sure I am human and I have my moments, when I need some alone time, I don’t remember the last time I took a shower without someone knocking but overall I choose to look at things with a lens full of joy.

Birthdays are always my favorite, and I look at the day or month itself as a gift. Sure tangible gifts are fun but we all know toys lose their luster quickly so I choose to create fun experiences instead. Both Landon and Elle have birthdays in April so it does make it a little easier to celebrate BIG!

This year we had surprised the kids with an ice cream cart at school for all of their classmates. The joy and excitement on their faces were priceless, and those smiles continued throughout the week.

I love to create fun experiences even when we are not celebrating a birthday. When we have family movie night we create the theatre at home. The kids make “movie tickets” and set up a concession stand with their favorite movie snacks. Sometimes I think they enjoy creating the “movie theater” more than the movie itself.

Life can get super busy so I am grateful that I can slow it down a bit and create some beautiful memories with my children.
