What kind of Mom are you?

I choose to be okay in not having a clue what I am doing and finding confidence in that. I am this kind of Mom.

I have been on and off anxiety meds in the last 3.5 years. I’ve seen a therapist and have been intentional about taking care of myself so I can be healthy for my kids. I am this kind of Mom. •

I breastfed for 3 months and then put the triplets on formula. I’m perfectly okay with that decision despite the backlash I received. I am this kind of Mom.

I let my kids get dirty, jump in puddles until they’re soaking wet, and only make them wear shoes if it is absolutely necessary. I let them have tantrums in public places, despite how embarrassing it is because sometimes they just need to get it out. I am this kind of Mom.

My daughter almost drowned and spent the night R ady Children's Hospital. The vivid memory I have of her blue lips are still something I’m working through. The pool terrifies me, but I find the strength to take my kids because I need to be brave and courageous despite my own fears. I’m this kind of Mom. •

I pick and choose my battles. I am this kind of Mom.

Sometimes I give my kids lollipops before 9am and sometimes they have chocolate chip pancakes every morning for breakfast. I am this kind of Mom.

We go to church as a family every weekend. I pray with my kids every single night and do my best to teach them of the Father’s love. I am this kind of Mom.

I sometimes respond terrible and yell at my kids and ask for forgiveness after. It’s not something I’m proud of. I’m this kind of Mom.

I don’t like it when my kids sleep in my bed, but when they’re not feeling well, I will hold them close as long as they need me too. I am this kind of Mom.

I love my kids so much, but sometimes I don’t like them. And that’s okay to say that. I’m this kind of Mom.

I am trying really hard to raise good humans-good, kind, loving, respectful humans. I don’t get everything right. But I’m doing the best I can. I’m this kind of Mom.
