Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

Did you wake up this morning thinking this coronavirus stuff was just all a bad dream?

Me too.

For a second.

Then I remembered that it's not.

Then I remembered that I don't need to get my kids up and out the door by 7:05 am because today, and in the immediate future, they will be learning at home, with me by their side.

Then I remembered that I shouldn't grab my morning Starbucks; that it's not safe for the workers there or me.

Then I remembered that we'll be stuck in our house again for what is now day seven, eight, or nine? Honestly, I can't remember.

Then I remembered that it's been a while since I've hugged my mama and mother-in-law and since they've seen their dear grand-babies.

Then I remembered that my sister and her kids probably won't be able to come home for Easter, that the cousins won't get to play, and that we probably won't get to gather as a big group like we usually do.

I remembered all of that this morning, when upon rising, for a split-second, I thought this was all a bad dream.

But it's not, and here we are.

It's Monday, folks, and today will likely be a challenge.

Whether you are working from home with the kids home, aiding your kids with remote learning, dealing with anxiety, missing your friends and family, or any combination of these, you will get through today, and you will get through tomorrow.

One thought at a time.

One step at a time.

One prayer at a time.

I'm praying for you, too.

I'm praying for all of us because we're better together.

You've got this, and I've got you, and that's one part of all of this that's beautiful.
