I Want My Kids To Be As Active As Me

I’ve always prided myself on leading a pretty healthy life. I eat the right foods, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep. Now that I have a little one on the way, however, I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with my active lifestyle. My friends who are new dads themselves have told me stories about how they haven’t had sleep in weeks, sometimes forget to eat, and the challenges they have in trying to tote their babies around while they workout. I started to think that my story would be much of the same.

That is until I started looking online for advice on how to stay healthy as a new dad and I came across websites that not only provided tips but had a list of baby products you could invest in that would make it easy for you to live a healthy lifestyle without much hassle. I found a ton of items online and decided I’d start adding them to my registry. Here are a few that stood out:

Squeeze Station

As I promote nothing but healthy living in my house, it’s only natural that I’d want my baby to eat right as well. I found the perfect solution, it’s called the Squeeze Station. Infantino’s Squeeze Station allows mothers to make homemade purees using fresh fruit and vegetables. The best part? This product can be used to make homemade baby food and smoothies for both infants and their mothers! It’s a device that makes it easy for you to make your own snack and either enjoy now or store in your refrigerator or freezer for later. Genius!

Activity Gym

Start them off young is what I always say. When I’m hopping around to my favorite workout video in the living room, I found the perfect activity for my little one. They have activity gyms. It’s the cutest thing too. It’s like a small play pen only it’s filled with balls and other toys to keep them entertained. It’s the perfect idea for a busy toddler while I try to get in my 15 minutes of cardio.

When I saw all of these amazing things online, my fears of “falling off the wagon” after I had the baby subsided. I now realize that I can be active and healthy and promote the same for my baby with a few items assisting me. If you’re a mom who lives an active life or simply could use a helping hand when it comes to raising your child, these items should most certainly be at the top of your list.

Entertainers

I couldn’t fathom how I’d still be able to prep my meals and smoothies every morning with a baby crying every time I try to put them down. Then I did some looking and found the perfect distraction - a stand entertainer. Designed like a walker (without the wheels), you can secure your baby in the seat and they’ll spend hours (well, maybe not hours) being entertained by the various toys, music, and lights.

Jogging Strollers

I love a good run in the mornings but I imagine that a baby stroller would just slow me down. Then, I stumbled across jogging strollers. They are designed with a large front wheel which makes it easy for parents to maneuver and keep up as they run. What was also great was that the stroller was a lot more compact than a traditional one and breaks down with just one hand.
