How demanding of time and energy they are.
I have two very active toddler boys who are the epitome of the idea of mammas boys. And I really love every bit of the time we spend together. I enjoy cooking and cleaning for them, playing with them teaching them.
But, there are times when I just absolutely cannot be around them and it makes them really sad. I very much dislike seeing my children anything other than happy so I begin to feel a little guilty. Choosing between having to work to support them and spending time teaching, caring for and playing with them is a very difficult task that I often find myself facing.
Over time, I am beginning to learn the importance of acquiring balance and patience throughout every area of our lives. As my children grow, I hope to instill the same wisdom into them so they can start off leading successful, meaningful lives.
Most of all… I wish someone would have told me how much I would learn from them. The list of things that my children have taught me is, and will continue to be, full of never-ending surprises. And I look forward to every single one of them.
