I’m a working mom.
I freaking love my career and have absolutely worked my ass off to get to where I am.
I don’t ever stop because I have to be the best at everything I do. I’m competitive to a fault. I am not sorry for that.
I am teaching my children what it means to work hard, strive to be the best, and success will follow.
I’m also teaching them that it’s possible to be a loving, nurturing, present parent while balancing a demanding full time job.
I may not get to volunteer in classrooms, join the PTO or make dinner every night...but I’ll always be in the stands for basketball games, soccer matches, be home for bedtime prayers and make time for one on one dates with each of my 3 children.
Never be ashamed to be who you are. Not everyone is the same. Never let anyone make you feel bad about it.
I am a better mom because of my career. I am a better career woman because I’m a mom.
I know myself. I own myself. Life is about balance.
Oh, I also have visible tattoos. Judge me if you want.
Bring me all the Harley-Davidson and motorcycle life during the days (I’m a Harley-Davidson Marketing Director)... and give me all the little boys snuggles at night.
I also blog on the side because I love it and why not do the things you love?
Be you. Be a rockstar mom no matter what that means in your story. And don’t you ever apologize for it.
Love & Hugs,
Nicki, Momming all the Boys
